About Us Medical Seminars, Inc. arranges seminars for physicians of all specialties. Although most of the destinations are to islands well-known for scuba diving, you do not have to be a diver to attend. The academic program is of interest to all medical specialties. There are four hours of academics offered each day and the remainder of the day is available for other activities. The meetings are usually one week long. The academic programs are accredited for CME by the American Medical Association through the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society, as well as the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Emergency Physicians. The groups are comprised of physicians from all over the United States and Canada. The academic faculty is composed of physicians who are recognized experts in diving medicine, undersea medicine and sports medicine. Most have held responsible positions in the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. Paul J. Sheffield, PhD is the CME Program Director for Medical Seminars, Inc and is responsible for organizing the academic program.
